Portugal 2022 - Land found
Dear Thomas,
You know that I don't send unnecessary emails. So if there is nothing to tell you, I will spare you newsletters. Even so, there would be a lot to tell you about our search here in the Alentejo. There are so many ups and downs that one goes through during such a search, which would actually be worth mentioning. But no: I only want to bother you when it comes to asking for your opinion, criticism or support.

The news is: I have found a piece of land near São Teotónio in the Alentejo that would be ideal for use as a "Conscious Healing Centre".
The site is close to an asphalted road (no dusty paths, of which there are plenty here).
It has about 11 hectares and already existing houses that could be developed.
One could also count on the help of EU funds if one wanted to develop health tourism there.
It has a buildable part (about 4,400 sqm of space could be created) and an ecologically valuable area with trees where permaculture could be established.
The terrain is not more than 20 minutes away from the most beautiful beaches of the Alentejo at Zambujeira do Mar.
The nearest "town" with a well-stocked noble supermarket is not more than 10 minutes away, the nearest discounters (ALDI, LIDL) not more than 20 minutes away.
There is enough water, as a canal from the Santa Clara reservoir runs directly past the property.
Electricity is also available.
And regarding the climate: Here on the coast, the westerly winds from the Atlantic ensure a balanced climate, it is not as hot as in the interior.
And why Portugal?
The people are friendly and communicative
You can work with many medicinal plants that you can also grow and that develop good efficiency in the warmth
It is mainland Europe
The country is still cheap
It is away from central Europe with its (too) fast way of life
And there are (afaik) no nuclear weapons stationed in Portugal
Now it's a matter of negotiating with the owner and perhaps pushing the purchase price down a bit. And it's about finding friends who want to participate.
It is not yet entirely clear what a model for a community with health facilities might look like. Basically, we are open to all possibilities. We first have to make sure that we can acquire the land.
Therefore, I ask all my friends who are interested in joining us or who can help with capital, whether a donation or a deposit, to contact me.

Du weißt, dass ich keine unnötigen eMails versende. Wenn es also nichts zu erzählen gibt, dann verschone ich Euch auch mit Newslettern. Dabei gäbe es viel zu erzählen über unsere Suche hier im Alentejo. Da gibt es so viele Höhen und Tiefen, durch die man bei einer solchen Suche geht, die es eigentlich wert wären, erwähnt zu werden. Aber nein: ich will Euch nur behelligen, wenn es auch darum geht, Eure Meinung, Kritik oder Unterstützung einzuholen.

Und hier kommen die Neuigkeiten: Ich habe hier in der Nähe von São Teotónio im Alentejo ein Grundstück gefunden, das für die Verwendung als "Conscious Healing Camp" ideal wäre.
Das Gelände ist nah einer asphaltierten Straße (keine staubigen Wege, von denen es hier jede Menge gibt)
Es hat ca. 11 ha und schon bestehende Häuser, die ausgebaut werden könnten
Man könnte auch mit der Hilfe von EU-Geldern rechnen, wenn man dort Gesundheitstourismus aufbauen wollte.
Es hat einen bebaubaren Teil (ca. 4.400 qm) und einen ökologisch wertvollen Bereich mit Bäumen, wo man Permakultur betreiben könnte
Das Terrain ist nicht mehr als 20 Minuten von den schönsten Stränden des Alentejo bei Zambujeira do Mar entfernt
Die nächste "Stadt" mit einem gut sortierten edlen Supermarkt ist nicht weiter als 10 Minuten entfernt, die nächsten Discounter (ALDI, LIDL) nicht weiter als 20 Minuten
Es gibt genügend Wasser, da ein Kanal vom Santa-Clara-Stausee direkt am Grundstück vorbei führt
Elektrizität ist auch schon vorhanden.
Und bezüglich des Klimas: Hier an der Küste sorgen die Westwinde vom Atlantik für ein ausgeglichenes Klima, es ist nicht so heiß wie im Landesinneren.
Und warum Portugal?
Die Leute sind freundlich und kommunikativ
Man kann mit vielen medizinischen Pflanzen arbeiten, die man auch anbauen kann und die in der Wärme eine gute Effizienz entwickeln
Es ist europäisches Festland
Das Land ist noch preiswert
Es ist abseits von Zentral-Europa mit seinen (zu) schnellen Lebensart
Und es sind keine Nuklearwaffen in Portugal stationiert
Jetzt geht es darum, mit dem Eigentümer zu verhandeln und vielleicht den Kaufpreis noch etwas zu drücken. Und es geht darum, Freunde zu finden, die sich beteiligen wollen.
Es ist noch nicht ganz klar, wie ein Modell für eine Gemeinschaft mit Gesundheitsbetrieb aussehen könnte. Grundsätzlich sind wir für alle Möglichkeiten offen. Wir müssen erst einmal sicherstellen, dass wir das Grundstück erwerben können.
Daher bitte ich alle meine Freunde, die an der Mitarbeit interessiert sind oder mit Kapital, ob Spende oder Einlage, helfen können, mit mir Kontakt aufzunehmen.
