The last step is now laying in front of us
Hi guys,
yeah! We are almost at the end now. At the end of a long story that has taken us from bella Sardinia to beautiful Portugal, there to the Alentejo and in the Alentejo to a wonderful area with a great microclimate, an old forest and springs with crystal-clear water. While there have been extreme temperatures and downpours in Germany and the Mediterranean, it has been wonderfully bearable here. Down to 18° at night (usually around 13° on the coast where we were with our camper vans) and rarely above 33° during the day.
In the meantime, we had also found another plot of land which we had to let go, but that's another story .
Now we are just checking the last questions that need to be clarified. And if they are answered positively, we want to give the lawyer the order to initiate the purchase. Because with the other story (see above, "another story") we have learned that you need a really good lawyer to conclude such contracts in Portugal in a legally secure way.
We can consider ourselves lucky that our last appeal for financial support fell on such fertile ground and that we were still able to find dear donors. Many thanks to all those who believe in the project and actively support it. This gives us the opportunity to acquire the 31 hectares of land NOW. After all, there are still the costs for taxes and the lawyer to pay, in addition to the costs of the initial development work (see above). But I have been able to agree with the owners on an absolute dream price, which cannot be found even in the area anymore (33 cents/sqm).
BTW: We can still use co-developers and investors, because Sabine and I are now taking over the missing amount for the time being and will then transfer the property to a foundation when the additional money has been collected from other members. But you will have your plot right from the start and it will remain yours.
And then we will be happy to have helpers who want to work on the development of the site. We will be working with "work-away" people and woofers etc., but equally welcome are those who want to join us now and stay with us and support us with physical and mental strength.

Der letzte Schritt liegt nun vor uns

yeah! Wir sind jetzt fast am Ende angelangt. Am Ende einer langen Geschichte, die uns von bella Sardinia ins wunderschöne Portugal, dort in den Alentejo und im Alentejo in eine wunderbare Gegend mit einem tollen Mikroklima, einem alten Wald und Quellen mit kristallklarem Wasser geführt hat. Während es in Deutschland und am Mittelmeer extreme Temperaturen und Regengüsse gab, war es hier wunderbar erträglich. Nachts bis zu 18° (an der Küste, wo wir mit unseren Wohnmobilen waren, meist um die 13°) und tagsüber selten über 33°.
In der Zwischenzeit hatten wir auch ein anderes Grundstück gefunden, das wir allerdings wieder aufgeben mussten, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.
Jetzt prüfen wir gerade die letzten Fragen, die noch geklärt werden müssen. Und wenn sie positiv beantwortet sind, wollen wir dem Anwalt den Auftrag erteilen, den Kauf einzuleiten. Denn durch die andere Geschichte (siehe oben, "andere Geschichte") haben wir gelernt, dass man einen wirklich guten Anwalt braucht, um solche Verträge in Portugal rechtssicher abzuschließen.
Wir können uns glücklich schätzen, dass unser letzter Aufruf zur finanziellen Unterstützung auf so fruchtbaren Boden gefallen ist und wir noch liebe Spender/innen finden konnten. Vielen Dank an alle, die an das Projekt glauben und es aktiv unterstützen. Das gibt uns die Möglichkeit, die 31 Hektar Land JETZT zu erwerben. Schließlich sind neben den Kosten für die ersten Erschließungsarbeiten (siehe oben) auch noch die Kosten für Steuern und den Anwalt zu zahlen. Aber ich habe mich mit den Eigentümern auf einen absoluten Traumpreis einigen können, der selbst in der Gegend nicht mehr zu finden ist (33 Cent/qm).
Übrigens: Wir können immer noch Miterschließer und Investoren gebrauchen, denn Sabine und ich übernehmen jetzt erst einmal den fehlenden Betrag und werden das Grundstück an eine Stiftung übertragen, wenn das zusätzliche Geld von anderen Mitgliedern eingesammelt wurde. Aber du wirst dein Grundstück von Anfang an haben und es wird auch deines bleiben.
Und dann freuen wir uns über Helferinnen und Helfer, die an der Entwicklung des Grundstücks mitarbeiten wollen. Wir werden mit "Work-away"-Leuten und Wofern, etc. arbeiten, aber genauso willkommen sind diejenigen, die jetzt zu uns stoßen und bei uns bleiben und uns mit körperlicher und geistiger Kraft unterstützen wollen.
